What it does
The machine prints a paper slip with a barcode. It goes in a pocket, through a wash, or into the wrong bin. Scan it once and the app keeps the barcode, the value and where it came from — then shows it full-screen at the till.
A map and a list of return points, nearest first. Other people report whether a machine is working, full or out of vouchers, and whether there is a queue — so you know before you carry the bag across town.
15c for containers up to 500ml, 25c above that to three litres. Count what you have and see the total before you leave the house — and what the machine will and will not take.
Vouchers live in a database on your phone. The machine list is cached, so the map works with no signal. If our server vanished tomorrow, your vouchers would still be there.
There is no account and no cloud. The only things that reach our server carry no name: a machine report, a photo of a machine or a message, if you choose to send one; a count of app opens, so we know the thing is used; and the store's reference if you buy Pro.

Before you ask
No. Re-Turn Tracker is an independent app made in Ireland for people who use the Deposit Return Scheme. It is not affiliated with Re-turn, and it cannot issue, replace or redeem a voucher — the paper slip and the shop till are what count.
No. There is no sign-up, no password and no email address. Your vouchers are written to a database inside the app on your phone, and that is the only copy that exists.
The app shows the barcode full-screen, on white, the way a till scanner wants it. Whether a shop scans it from a screen is the shop's call — keep the paper slip until it has been redeemed. Re-turn says vouchers do not expire.
With Pro on an iPhone, automatic backup keeps your vouchers in your own iCloud, and a new iPhone on the same Apple ID offers to put them back. On any phone, Pro can save a backup file to open on the new one — opening it is free — or beam everything across directly. An iPhone's own iCloud Backup may include the app too; with Pro on Android, Android's own Google backup carries it to the new phone. Because we hold no copy of your vouchers, there is nothing for us to restore if you skip those steps.
The app is free, with no ads. Free holds one unredeemed voucher at a time — mark it used and the next one fits. Pro is a single €1.29 payment, not a subscription: it holds as many as you like, opens the list of your past vouchers, and adds automatic backup (your own iCloud on iPhone, Android's own Google backup on Android), backup files, reminders and the camera beam to a new phone.
